Sustainability is high on the agenda for local Audio Visual Solutions provider Universal AV Services Ltd. In partnership with Ian Brown and his team at Green Solutions, Universal has managed to increase the amount of cardboard waste they recycle. Cardboard is a major bi-product of the services offered at Universal as Audio Visual equipment is always heavily packaged. Having liaised with Ian through the Chamber of Commerce Universal AV Services Ltd are now benefiting from the Whywaste programme and would like to say a big 'Thank you' to Ian and his team.

In keeping with the green agenda, Universal have recently become part of the easyWEEE programme set up by local Bradford company City Electrical Factors ,who provides full recycling of electrical products from over 400 outlets nationwide.

To top it off Universal are sending 18 employees on a Smarter Driving course provided by the Energy Saving Trust. The driving course teaches company drivers the techniques needed to enable them to drive in a style that reduces fuel consumption thus reducing CO2 emissions.

Universal would like to promote their contribution to Bradford's Big Plan 08-11, 'Sustainable Community Strategy' and encourage other Bradford Businesses to Join in!

Already an incumbent supplier on the NEUPC (North Eastern University Purchasing Consortium), supplying nearly half of all AV equipment and installations to Universities for the past 8 years, Universal AV Services has just been appointed to the new 3 year framework agreement.

Universal has built strong relationships with the Universities on the framework and the appointment ensures that Universal is able to continue to serve the Universities and provide the excellent service they have become accustomed too.
