It's all about the team; our dedicated employees, many with over 10 years experience at Universal, have developed relationships with our customers to provide a service like no other AV company. As a customer you work with a dedicated sales consultant who is on hand to manage, support and advise you across all of your audio visual system requirements.
The sales consultant is supported by a team of project managers and technical engineers who get to know you and the people in your organisation. We pride ourselves on our ability to develop long standing customer relationships with customer, employees and suppliers alike; it is to this we attribute our success within the industry.
Directors
Universal Directors have a wealth of industry and management experience, we share the same passion to continually deliver innovation and high quality services to our broad customer base. We are supported by a great team of skilled individuals to deliver our strategic plan and exceed the expectations of our customers.

Nick Fitzpatrick (Managing Director)
Nick joined the company in 1993 to develop new business and has helped build the business to the position it is today.

Andy Robinson (Finance Director)
Andy started at Universal in 2008 and heads up the finance department. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 25 years’ experience of working in Small and Medium enterprises.

Chris Gardner (Operations Director)
Chris started at Universal in 2005, and has taken on the role of Operations Director having previously successfully managed the department.
Sales
Our experienced Account Managers will work in partnership with you throughout the whole process to guide you through your project providing clear lines of communication and familiarity. Whether education, public sector or corporate they have the skills and knowledge to meet your needs.

Mark Atkinson (Sales Manager)
Mark has been in the AV industry since 1996 and holds a wealth of knowledge and experience making him ideal to head up the busy team.

Duncan Cave (Account Manager)
Duncan has worked for Universal for over 15 years and his can do attitude, many industry qualifications and experience makes him an invaluable asset.

Julie Marsh (Internal Sales Consultant)
Julie is based at our Manchester office and has a good all round knowledge of the AV world and has excellent people skills having had a range of public facing roles prior to her current position.

Alan Robson (Account Manager)
Alan has a real passion for AV, and believes in giving the customer what they need, the best solution for that space. Alan also has a real passion for building quite large and detailed sandcastles. He is based at the Bradford office when not on the beach.

Richard Kent (Account Manager)
I have been in the AV industry for over 10 years mainly working on the Education and HE University sector frameworks.

Anthony Carder (Account Manager)
Anthony Carder has a strong background in AV, having seen all sides of the audio visual coin and managing on stage celebrity talent, no challenge will be too big for him.
Operations
Our Operations team have many years' experience of designing and delivering integrated audio visual solutions to meet and exceed customer expectations each and every time. We demonstrate a commitment to ensure your audio visual visions are brought to life.

David Etchells (Project Manager)
David has worked for Universal for 11 years, progressing from engineer to senior engineer and latterly project manager. Prior to this he spent many years working in AV and Broadcast equipment hire.

Neil Dibb (Senior Project Manager)
Neil originally joined the Universal Family in 2009, and resides in Bradford. Neil is an experienced Electrical Engineer, and has a list of impressive qualifications to match his experience.

Andrew Kelleher (Operations Coordinator)
Andrew brings with him a wealth of management and operations experience and is looking forward to putting that into practice in the AV Sector.

Andy Ogden (Project Manager)
Andy fell in love with AV at a young age through music. He has worked in various sectors installing and delivering projects in AV, he is a great asset to the team.

John Cunningham (Service Manager)
John has worked with Universal AV as a Sub-contractor for many years and became a valued permanent fixture of the operations team in January 2016, when he joined as the Service Manager.

Jonathan Whitehead (Senior Engineer)
Jonathan is one of our senior engineers based at the Bradford Office. He has been with us for a very long time and has a vast amount of experience.

Martin Maycock (Senior Engineer)
Martin has been with us for over ten years and is an integral part of the installation team in Bradford. An excellent engineer with extensive knowledge of AV systems.

Jonny Johnston (Engineer)
Jonny joined the company as an engineer in our Newcastle office in 2014, after a short freelancing stint for us we decided he was a keeper!

Dave Smith (Engineer)
Originally Dave started working at Universal AV in Bradford in 2013, in stores, becoming a fully-fledged engineer in 2016 and managing his own installs now.

Jack Aveyard (Apprentice Engineer)
Jack started at Universal in 2014 as an Apprentice Engineer, spending 1 day a week at college undertaking a course specifically designed by Universal.

Will Gilroy (Apprentice Engineer)
Will started at Universal in 2016 as an Apprentice Engineer, spending 1 day a week at college undertaking a course specifically designed by Universal and working on live installs the rest.

Lewis Crabb (Apprentice Engineer)
Lewis started at Universal in 2016 as an Apprentice Engineer, spending 1 day a week at college undertaking a course specifically designed by Universal and working on live installs the rest.

Lewis Barber (Engineer)
I came into AV after working in the IT sector for 6 years, I needed a new challenge. Outside of work I enjoy nothing more than playing football with my son and family adventures.

Kevin Shaw (Engineer)
Having seen a colour television in a shop window in 1971, I was hooked and got a job in the same shop in 1972. I undertook a 5 year apprenticeship and have remained in the industry ever since. When not doing this I can be found tinkering with cars and antique hunting.

Steve Ormondroyd (Logistics Controller)
Steve is responsible for stock control for Universal AV and works out of our Bradford Office.
Office
Behind all good sales and operations staff lays an office administration team. Universal AV has a strong marketing, health and safety, accounts and administration department all supporting the external facing teams.

Shelley Townend (Marketing and Quality Manager)
Shelley joined the Universal team as the new Marketing Manager and is located at the Bradford office. With over 15 years’ experience she handles all things marketing for the company.

Louise Sprawling (HR Manager)
Louise looks after all things HR for Universal. When she is not dealing with employees she is looking after her gorgeous family and walking their greyhound.

Rebecca Loughrey (Senior Accounts Administrator)
Rebecca (more commonly known as Bex) is based at the Bradford office and has worked for the company since 2009 joining as an Accounts Administrator.

Emeline Gerdes (Accounts Clerk)
Emeline is based at the Bradford office and has worked for the company since 2012 joining as an Accounts Administrator.

Andy Oldroyd (Fleet Manager and Accounts)
Andy is based at HQ in Bradford and balances his working life working in the accounts team and managing our fleet.

Claire Bell
Claire is based at the Bradford office and has worked for the company since 2015 joining as Purchase Ledger Clerk to cover maternity.
